Depending of your personnals tastes, here is my personnal list ;) :

-Club 737 , 1 Place Ville Marie. Nicest view of Montreal and a good restaurant just under the club.

-Club 1234, 1234 de le Montagne. Great place and people, but go with a group!

-Au diable vert: 4557 St-Denis. More groovy, casual, good music from alternatif to hip hop, to quebec's singers!

-Le loft, 1405 St-Laurent Blvd near Ste-Catherine. If you like rock or alternatif, this is your place.

- Newtown, 1476 rue Crescent. The bar is under the famoust restaurent of Jacques Villeneuve.

- Rouge, 7 PRINCE AURTHUR ( CORNER ST. LAURENT ). Nice lounge, great people, 25 +

- Cafe Campus, 57 prince arthur ouest. Best place for students! Go early on Tuesday, or it can take you 2 hours to get in!

-House of Jazz 2060 Aylmer, daily live musical entertainment, restaurent, best place for Jazz lovers!

-Brutopia, 1219 Crescent St. Micro-brewery bar. Nice atmosphere.
